Encourage STEM after-school programs. Boston After School & Beyond has a great BoSTEM program that engages middle schoolers that are typically under-represented in STEM fields with hands-on activities.
Support these national/international organizations
Become a member of the American Association for the Advancement, an organization that engages the public and policymakers with research that support access to science education for all.
Understand why women and girls are systemically pushed out of STEM by learning from the work of the AAUW (American Association of University Women).
