Support these regional organizations
Join one of the oldest environmental nonprofits in the US: the Sierra Club, which helped pass the Clean Air Act. The Massachusetts Chapter of the Sierra Club offers various volunteer opportunities.
Amplify Massachusetts Climate Action Networks’s (MCAN) campaigns to raise awareness on initiatives such as community shared solar and carbon pricing.
Volunteer with Speak for the Trees Boston and help improve the size and health of the urban tree canopy in Boston, particularly in under-resourced and under-canopied neighborhoods.
Take an everyday action
Let your clothes and hair air dry instead of using extra energy.
Eat less meat, especially cows! Livestock alone accounts for 14.5% of greenhouse gas emissions.
Start composting and properly reduce of your food scraps. Composting enriches soil and lessens the amount of methane gas released into the atmosphere.

Reduce greenhouse gases and save the polar bears with the World Wildlife Fund
Read Ember’s research and consider proposing one of their policies in your community. Ember is an innovative nonprofit and think tank based in the EU that is focused on the “global electricity transition.”
